Voting for Athlete of the Week is open to readers until 5 p.m. Wednesday; votes by email and votes after the deadline are not counted and bots or other artificial methods are prohibited. The poll covers performances from Sept. 15–20 and allows unlimited voting until the deadline. Nominees include McKenzie Anderson (James Logan volleyball) with 13 and 19 kills in two sweeps, Brooke Cannan (Los Gatos water polo) with multiple goals and steals in close matches, Paige Gravendaal Chase (College Park water polo) with eight goals in a 15-8 win, and Elise Chen (Menlo School tennis) who went 4-0 in singles at the Point Loma Invitational.
