Kohberger in July pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree murder in connection with the grisly killings of 21-year-old Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves, their housemate Xana Kernodle, 20, and her boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, also 20. Authorities found all four students dead from fatal stab wounds on Nov. 13, 2022 inside a Moscow home not far from campus."
"According to unsealed autopsy findings obtained by People, Kernodle sustained approximately 67 stab wounds, and evidence suggested she moved around the room an apparent bid to fend off Kohberger during the attack. Her boyfriend, meanwhile, was stabbed 17 times. He suffered one stab wound to the upper chest; four stab and incised wounds to the scalp face and neck; six incised wounds to the upper extremities; and six stab and incised wounds of the lower extremities."
"Goncalves, meanwhile, was stabbed roughly 38 times, including 24 stab and incised wounds on her scalp, face, and neck, another 11 stab and incised wounds to the chest, and three stab and incised wounds of the upper extremities. And Mogen suffered 28 stabs wounds, including on her scalp, face, and neck, and five to her chest, according to the documents. The best friends were found dead together in Mogen's bedroom."

Mogen suffered 28 stab wounds. Kohberger pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree murder and was arrested.
