"I regret the verdict," the unidentified juror said in the affidavit. "Without the intimidation from other jurors, I believe that the jury would have hung on the Miriam Haley charge."
"If I could have voted by secret ballot, I would have returned a not guilty verdict on all three charges."
"When I arrived home, I called two family members and told them to come look for me if they didn't hear from me, since something was not right about this jury deliberation process."
"I was so afraid of the repercussions and feared for my physical safety that I ultimately voted with the majority."
Two jurors who voted to convict Harvey Weinstein say they were screamed at, threatened and intimidated by other jurors during chaotic deliberations and now regret their guilty votes. Affidavits filed by Weinstein's lawyers claim the jurors feared physical harm and alleged verbal threats such as "We have to get rid of you" and "I'll catch you outside." One juror said a secret ballot would have produced not guilty verdicts on all charges. Weinstein was convicted of a criminal sex act involving Miriam Haley, acquitted on a charge involving Kaja Sokola, and had a mistrial on Jessica Mann's rape charge.
