Tynesha McCarty-Wroten, known online as Tea Tyme, was arrested in connection with a November 3 crash that killed 59-year-old Darren Lucas. Local jail records list felony counts of reckless homicide and aggravated use of a communications device resulting in death. Lucas was struck while walking at an intersection in Zion and later died of blunt force injuries. Investigators linked a screen recording of a TikTok livestream to the incident, in which the streamer exclaimed she had hit someone. McCarty-Wroten remained at the scene initially and later faced renewed scrutiny after hosting a subsequent livestream and soliciting donations.
