Brooks Koepka exited LIV Golf last month and will be allowed back onto the PGA Tour via a one-time Returning Member Program for players who have won a major or the Players Championship since 2022. Players must opt in by Feb. 2 and will face specific conditions and severe financial penalties. Koepka, the 2023 PGA Champion, is scheduled to play the Farmers Insurance Open and the WM Phoenix Open. Tiger Woods praised the move as ‘‘incredible’’ for fans, noted the tour’s fan initiative and described the pathway as meritocratic despite punitive elements. Several other eligible players have chosen to remain on LIV.
