Three new victims of 9/11 identified by New York coroner's officer

New York City officials confirmed the identification of three additional victims of the 9/11 attacks: Ryan Fitzgerald, Barbara Keating, and another woman whose name is withheld. The identifications were made through family outreach and advanced DNA analysis, highlighting a continued commitment to finding and returning missing victims. These individuals are the 1,651st, 1,652nd, and 1,653rd identified victims. Approximately 1,100 victims remain unidentified. The 9/11 attacks resulted in 2,977 deaths, with many victims still awaiting identification.
Nearly 25 years after the disaster at the World Trade Center, our commitment to identify the missing and return them to their loved ones stands as strong as ever, Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Graham said.
