Police in Newburgh responded around 8 a.m. to a shooting at 184 North Miller Street and found an 11-year-old dead from a gunshot wound. The City of Newburgh Detective Division and the Non-Fatal Shooting Task Force opened an immediate investigation. A firearm was recovered and three minors of interest were identified and located. A 13-year-old male was arrested and charged with second-degree murder within 12 hours. The arrested boy was not related to the victim.
