"Barnstable police arrested two teenagers on Saturday for allegedly shooting a 28-year-old woman in the chest in Hyannis. According to court documents, Evan Araujo, 18, and Jacob Winbush, 19, of Hyannis, will be arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Monday. Police are charging both teens with armed assault to murder with a firearm, assault and battery with a firearm, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, and possession of ammunition without an FID card."
"According to a press release from the Barnstable Police Department, Araujo was ordered held without bail based on the charges and a probation violation. Authorities held Winbush on a $100,000 cash bail. According to the police report, officers responded around 4:16 a.m. Saturday to 174 Main St. in Hyannis after receiving a report that someone had been shot. When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest behind the apartment building."

Araujo was ordered held without bail; Winbush was held on $100,000 cash bail. Officers responded around 4:16 a.m. to 174 Main St. after a report of a shooting and found a 28-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the chest behind the apartment building. Witnesses heard multiple shots and saw the woman fall on the staircase. Police established a perimeter, used SWAT negotiators to get the two occupants to exit, and recovered ammunition and evidence of bullets in the stairwell.
