Demartravion "Trey" Reed, 21, from Grenada, Mississippi, was found hanging on Delta State University campus the morning of Sept. 15. Cleveland Police notified the Bolivar County Coroner's Office at 7:32 a.m. A preliminary coroner's examination found no lacerations, contusions, compound fractures, broken bones, or injuries consistent with an assault. Coroner Randolph "Rudy" Seals Jr. stated there was no evidence the individual was physically attacked before death. University Chief of Police Michael Peele said investigators found no evidence of foul play. Reed had attended classes for about a month and his family seeks answers about the circumstances.
