A 42-year-old Peruvian woman was arrested at Bali's airport for trying to smuggle 1.4kg of cocaine concealed in a sex toy and in her underwear. Authorities became suspicious of her and, upon further inspection, discovered the drugs. The woman claimed she was hired via the dark web to transport the drugs for $20,000. Indonesia has extremely strict narcotics laws, and the woman could face the death penalty if convicted. Previously, another woman received a seven-year prison sentence for similar drug smuggling efforts.
