Pentagon baffled by 8,000 UFO orbs hovering over US military bases
"A new report from the crowdsourced platform Enigma, which allows people to report sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs), reveals more than 8,000 sightings across the US between December 2022 and June 2025. Among these, 422 reports specifically describe metallic orbs, with the majority observed between 1am and 4am near military installations in New York, California, and Arizona. Eyewitnesses, including civilians, pilots, and military personnel, reported seeing the spheres hover silently before moving at extreme speeds, leaving no trace of their departure. Some of the sightings have been captured on video or radar, though many remain unexplained."
"The Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) has been charged with investigating claims of UFOs and has dismissed many as natural phenomena like flocks of birds, conventional aircraft, drones, balloons, or other explainable objects. However, some cases have remained unsolved, reportedly due to a lack of data. Of the 757 UFO cases between May 2023 and June 2024 released in AARO's annual report, 21 cases were classified as unresolved sightings."
More than 8,000 UFO sightings were reported across the US between December 2022 and June 2025, with 422 reports describing small metallic orbs. The majority of metallic-orb sightings occurred between 1am and 4am near military installations in New York, California, and Arizona. Eyewitnesses including civilians, pilots, and military personnel described spheres hovering silently before accelerating at extreme speeds and disappearing without trace. Some events were captured on video or radar, but many reports lack sufficient data for identification. The Pentagon's AARO has investigated hundreds of cases, attributing many to birds, aircraft, drones, or balloons, while at least 21 cases remained unresolved. Similar orb sightings have been reported worldwide.
