On the eve of jury selection, here's what happened in court in the Brian Walshe case
"I don't want my son to know about this."
"We have no evidence that he was part of it, knew about it, directed it, paid for it, and it's just prejudicial."
Brian Walshe faces first-degree murder, misleading police, and improper conveyance of a human body charges over his wife Ana's disappearance and alleged killing on January 1, 2023. Investigators claim Walshe killed, dismembered, and disposed of Ana's remains. At a final pre-trial conference, prosecutors defended leaving Diana Walshe off the witness list even though she hired and paid a private investigator to probe alleged infidelity. Defense counsel argued evidence about the investigator is prejudicial and not tied to Walshe's conduct. Grand jury testimony quoted the investigator saying Diana told him, "I don't want my son to know about this." Jury selection is imminent.
