Obliterated? Damaged? Inoperable? What's known about Iran's nuclear facilities
Briefly

Following attacks by American and Israeli forces, damage to Iran's nuclear program appears significant yet debated. Claims vary from President Trump's assertion of total destruction to CIA reports of severe but not complete damage. The Fordo nuclear site, heavily fortified and deeply buried, was a main target. The Pentagon used advanced weapons, including a Massive Ordnance Penetrator, to strike it. However, assessing the total impact is complex, as some officials suggest that certain damages could be minimal, indicating a need for deeper analysis of the operational readiness of the program.
With Fordo in mind, the Pentagon developed the Massive Ordnance Penetrator, a 30,000-pound bunker-busting bomb. B-2 Spirit bombers carried the weapons to Fordo and dropped them down the ventilation shafts.
President Trump insists that the program has been destroyed. 'It's called obliteration,' Trump said. 'No other military on Earth could have done it, and now this incredible exercise of American strength has paved the way for peace.'
