
"A New York man is facing conspiracy charges after he allegedly stole goods - including frozen snow crab, blueberries, and more than $400,000 worth of designer cologne - from several warehouses, according to prosecutors. Romoy Forbes, 31, a Jamaican citizen living in Deer Park, N.Y., was charged Thursday with interstate transportation of stolen goods and conspiracy to transport stolen goods, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts said in a statement."
"Forbes allegedly conspired to hack the emails of truck-load carriers, using their accounts to book cargo with shippers and sell the goods for illicit profit, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. He allegedly stole a shipment of blueberries in June 202, from a Winslow Junction, N.J. warehouse. Before the theft, a co-conspirator allegedly hacked a trucking carrier company's email account and pretended to work for them, prosecutors said."
Romoy Forbes, 31, a Jamaican citizen living in Deer Park, N.Y., was charged with interstate transportation of stolen goods and conspiracy to transport stolen goods after arrest in Long Island. He faces federal proceedings in Brooklyn and later Boston. Forbes allegedly conspired with co-conspirators who hacked trucking carriers' email accounts to book cargo and contract transportation. Forbes allegedly posed as a carrier employee at warehouses, loading shipments and diverting deliveries to illicit buyers, including a phone contact named "My customer for everything." Alleged thefts include a blueberry shipment in June 202?, 33,750 pounds of frozen snow crabs worth $325,000 in July 2025, and over $400,000 in designer cologne.
