"Officials on Tuesday released new photos in their investigation of Nancy Guthrie's disappearance, which they say show an "armed individual" appearing to tamper with the camera at her front door the morning she went missing nearly two weeks ago. The images mark the first time in days that investigators have shared new details in a case that has seen very few developments since Guthrie, the mother of "Today" anchor Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing by her family on Feb. 1."
"For more than a week, an expansive law enforcement search, purported ransom letters, support from the White House, "Today" show segments and constant media coverage of the case yielded little information. The Guthrie family also posted multiple videos, each with a plea to their mother's potential abductor. They asked other viewers to pray. In the video released Monday, Savannah Guthrie appeared solo and asked for the help of Americans far and wide to report any new information to law enforcement."
Photos recently recovered from backend systems show an armed individual tampering with the front-door camera at Nancy Guthrie’s home the morning she went missing. Officials said the images were previously inaccessible and recovered with help from private companies. Authorities previously reported a doorbell camera had been disconnected. Investigators asked the public to contact law enforcement with any information but did not identify the person as a suspect or person of interest. Savannah Guthrie shared the images and has posted video appeals, saying she believes her mother is still alive and urging Americans to report tips as the family pleads for her return.
