"Lox & Loaded was born out of necessity, sadly,"
"It's not about "fearmongering" but about "learning how to avoid danger when possible, escape when necessary, and defend effectively when there is no other choice,"
"Some people come to us after getting antisemitic threats"
"It's really traumatic, and it helps to have a place where people can go and talk about it,"
Lox & Loaded is a Jewish-owned and -operated national member-based shooting club with chapters in New York that provides tactical firearms training and community safety resources. Sessions begin with bagels and schmear and include workshops, range days with certified instructors, and personal-defense experts. The club emerged after the Oct. 7, 2023 attacks and rising antisemitic threats to address security concerns around Jewish holidays such as Rosh Hashanah. Membership spans firearm novices to elders and emphasizes skills in avoiding danger, escaping when necessary, and defending when there is no alternative, promoting self-reliance and communal strengthening.
