Near 0% rain chance: Some pleasant weather expected this week in South Florida
"A dry air mass that descended on South Florida over the weekend should keep the region dry for the bulk of the week, according to the National Weather Service. Over the past weekend, a nor'easter off the mid-Atlantic shot a cold front our way followed by dry cooler air, said National Weather Service meteorologist Ana Porres-Vazquez. "It looks like more or less similar conditions will prevail," she said of the coming week and weekend."
"Forecasters are calling for clear skies through Wednesday night, with a few clouds creeping in on Thursday, with a slight chance of isolated showers. "We might be looking at one or two additional dry fronts dropping through the area," Porres-Vazquez. She said there might be a 20% to 30% chance of rain at most later in the week. It'll be windy this week as well, starting Tuesday night, with northeast winds of 8 mph to 11 mph, and gusts of up to 23 mph."
Dry, cooler air from a nor'easter-driven cold front has settled over South Florida and should keep conditions dry for most of the week. Rain chances are near zero through Wednesday, with only a stray shower possible. A few clouds may appear Thursday with a slight 20%–30% chance of isolated showers later in the week. Northeast winds will increase Tuesday night to 8–11 mph with gusts up to 23 mph. Early-morning lows will be in the low 70s along the coast and high 60s inland, with LaBelle near 63°F. Daytime highs are expected in the low to mid 80s. Weekend outcomes hinge on a front over the Straits of Florida; if it moves south, dry air will remain dominant.
