Mayweather Jr. to unretire, resume boxing after Tyson exhibition
"I still have what it takes to set more records in the sport of boxing,"
"From my upcoming Mike Tyson event to my next professional fight afterwards -- no one will generate a bigger gate, have a larger global broadcast audience and generate more money with each event -- then my events. And I plan to keep doing it with my global media partner, CSI Sports/FIGHT SPORTS."
Floyd Mayweather Jr. will end his retirement and resume his professional boxing career following a Spring 2026 exhibition with Mike Tyson. Mayweather signed an exclusive promotional agreement with CSI Sports/Fight Sports. The Tyson exhibition has been reported for April 25 in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but date and broadcast partner remain unconfirmed. Mayweather retired at age 40 with a 50-0 professional record and has since competed in several exhibition matches. Mayweather filed a multi-million-dollar lawsuit against Showtime seeking at least $340 million from reported career fight purses. A possible professional rematch with Manny Pacquiao has been suggested.
