"These two incidents really highlight the care that Billerica Police officers put into their jobs, whether they are responding to a major emergency, or just ensuring that residents get lost packages during the holiday season,"
"I am proud of these three officers."
On Nov. 25 at about 8:10 p.m., Officer Samuel Hawkes found eight Amazon packages in the roadway behind Towne Plaza at 700 Boston Road. Officer Matthew Irwin assisted Hawkes in delivering the packages to their intended Billerica addresses and contacted Amazon. On the following Tuesday at about 1:15 a.m., Officer Thomas Huff discovered another eight Amazon packages scattered near 129 Plaza at 258 Salem Road and delivered the sealed packages to their intended Billerica addresses, also notifying Amazon. Chief Roy Frost praised the officers for their care and said he was proud of the three officers.
