Mass. officer has cruiser window smashed by falling quahog
"An investigation was conducted and it has been determined to be a targeted incident because of the nature of his job."
"'Steven Seagul,' is approximately 16 feet tall with a 40 inch wingspan, the Wareham DNR estimated. He was last seen wearing 'white and gray feathers with matching yellow beak and feet.'"
"We are happy to report that the quahog was within legal harvesting size and did not sustain any injuries. However, it was harvested without a shellfish permit so it was returned to deeper water."
A quahog that apparently fell from a seagull smashed the windshield of a Wareham natural resource/shellfish officer after a shift. The incident was treated as targeted because of the officer's shellfish enforcement role. The suspected seagull, nicknamed 'Steven Seagul,' was humorously described as roughly 16 feet tall with a 40-inch wingspan, white and gray feathers, and a yellow beak and feet. The quahog was within legal harvesting size but had been taken without a shellfish permit and was returned to deeper water. Local residents shared similar dropped-clam encounters and responded with puns and jokes.
