Macy's in San Francisco's Union Square was evacuated Saturday following a report of an explosive device. San Francisco Police responded just after 4:30 p.m. to the 100 block of O'Farrell Street and evacuated the store. Officers and SFPD K-9s searched the premises and did not find any devices. Macy's said the store was safely evacuated, screened, and closed as scheduled for the evening. The store reopened for business as usual on Sunday. No arrests have been made. Macy's expressed appreciation for the quick response and thorough work of the San Francisco Police Department.
