"He says that Marques is a documentarian without a criminal record who came to the U.S. on a tourist visa seven years ago. "They put her in hand shackles and in leg shackles, and around the waist as well, like she's some hardened criminal. Barbara Gomes Marques, 38, was detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the end of a green card meeting in downtown Los Angeles after she was asked to accompany staff to copy her passport. Her husband, Tucker May, believes the request was a ruse to separate them so agents could arrest her. Marques is a documentarian who entered the U.S. on a tourist visa seven years ago and has no criminal record. Agents reportedly restrained her with hand, leg and waist shackles and one agent allegedly took a selfie. Family was told she missed a 2019 court date.
