"I will tell you this has been a tough year for Los Angeles, but (this) shows the grit and the spirit of our city."
The Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated their second straight World Series championship with a parade through downtown and a rally at Dodger Stadium. Players rode on top of double-decker buses while tens of thousands of fans in caps and jerseys lined the 1.7-mile route and filled the stadium. Shohei Ohtani and series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto spoke about their joy and desire to win again. Fans and families turned the events into a massive celebration after a difficult year for the city that included deadly wildfires and earlier street tensions over immigration policies.
