""I think he's a really good player," Johnson said. "I've played with him a few times before over the years, and then obviously got to spend a lot of time with him the last three or four days. [I] really like the kid. He's a good player, very talented.""
Dustin Johnson signed a multi-year extension with LIV Golf and remains captain of the 4Aces GC team. Johnson is a two-time major champion, having won the 2016 U.S. Open and the 2020 Masters. He expressed excitement about new LIV venues, including South Africa, and noted strong fan support. Thomas Detry joined the 4Aces; he is 58th in the Official World Golf Ranking and was the first Belgian to win on the PGA Tour at the WM Phoenix Open. Patrick Reed and Thomas Pieters are returning to the 4Aces. Johnson finished 14th in individual points the past two seasons and has fallen to 636th in the world due to not receiving ranking points for LIV results.
