Ken Griffin, CEO of Citadel, emphasizes the necessity of granting visas to foreign students upon graduation, stating that the current system is inadequate. He believes that graduates from U.S. universities should automatically receive visa stamps with their diplomas, ensuring they remain in the country to contribute to its economy. This aligns with similar proposals made by former President Trump, aiming to streamline immigration for foreign scholars. Griffin previously highlighted the importance of balancing secure borders with a thoughtful immigration policy that attracts global talent.
The key is they need to stay here. We are not doing enough to make access to staying in America either easy or preferred for these students.
It should literally be if you graduate from one of America's great universities, you should just get a visa stamp to your degree.
What I want to do and what I will do is, you graduate from a college, I think you should get automatically as part of your diploma a green card.
I'd like to see Washington now execute an immigration policy that is thoughtful, that protects this nation’s great stature in the world.
