The Department of Justice opened an investigation into security at UC Berkeley after clashes erupted on and off campus as protesters attempted to shut down a Turning Point USA event. A large group of anti-fascist protesters gathered outside Zellerbach Hall on Sproul Plaza. The event was Turning Point USA's first in California since Charlie Kirk was shot and killed and was the final stop on its American Comeback Tour. University and city police made four arrests: two off campus after a fight and two on campus. University spokespersons reported awareness of a single violent incident and pledged cooperation with any investigation.
