"A video posted on social media shows what led up to Tuesday's incident. In the video, two women can be seen entering an elevator, escorted by masked ICE personnel. A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said those officers were "making the arrest of an illegal alien from Peru." Another man entered the elevator with them, with photographers nearby but outside the elevator. At that point, a man wearing a mask and what appears to be a tactical vest with the word "police" on can be seen pulling him out of the elevator."
"Another man then appears to shove a photographer back away from the elevator, and she sprawls into another photographer. Both wind up on the floor. People can be heard on video saying "Oh my God." The man on the floor was treated by responding emergency personnel. Additional video posted on social media shows him getting his blood pressure checked. He was removed from the facility by paramedics using a stretcher while wearing a neck brace."
ICE officers shoved journalists to the floor at 26 Federal Plaza during an arrest operation, and one journalist required hospitalization. The operation involved masked ICE personnel escorting two women and another man into an elevator while photographers stood outside. A man in a tactical-style vest pulled a man from the elevator, and another officer or man shoved a photographer, causing two journalists to fall. Emergency personnel treated a man on the floor, checked his blood pressure, and removed him on a stretcher wearing a neck brace. The Department of Homeland Security said officers were swarmed by agitators and members of the press, which obstructed operations.
