Makeup artist Renee Baldwin, 57, was found shot in an Arlington, Virginia apartment on Sunday morning and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police arrested Baldwin's son, Logan Chrisinger, 27, and charged him in connection with the shooting. Baldwin had worked at Newsmax for several years and previously worked at ABC and ESPN. Current and former Newsmax staffers posted tributes on social media expressing shock, sadness, and admiration for Baldwin. Colleagues described Baldwin as kind, generous, talented, and someone who consistently brightened the day of those she worked with.
What sadness.my Newsmax make up artist of 3 1/2 years, and years at @ABC @espn etc and a friend to all of her colleagueswas murdered over the weekendshe did my make up Friday for the show and of course I never dreamed that would be the last time I would see her
Renee did my makeup at Newsmax for the past 1.5 years and sometimes did fill-in shifts at Rising. The news of her murder was such a shock. She was a kind, generous, funny woman who always brightened the day of anyone who sat in her chair. Fridays at Newsmax were something I https://t.co/DTp6OebUf3
Praying for you and the entire @NEWSMAX family, Greta. Renee was a beautiful person. She always did my make up for the right squad and had such a presence of calm and care for others about her.
