A 10-year-old western lowland gorilla named Denny suddenly charged at the glass lining of his San Diego Zoo enclosure on Saturday, and the moment was caught on video. Denny slammed into the enclosure glass and damaged one layer of the three-layered tempered glass panel that separates the habitat from visitors. Denny was not injured. Both gorillas living in the forest habitat will be cared for behind the scenes until the damaged panel is replaced. The enclosure will remain closed to public view while repairs proceed and animal care continues off exhibit.
