Major League Baseball opens March 25 with the San Francisco Giants hosting the New York Yankees, while the remaining 28 teams begin play March 26 with matchups including Kansas City at Atlanta and Minnesota at Baltimore. Five games are set for March 27 and all 30 teams are scheduled to play March 28. The regular season concludes Sept. 27, the earliest finish since 2020. The Oakland Athletics will play most home games in West Sacramento and host Triple-A Las Vegas Ballpark series June 8-14 while aiming to move to a new Las Vegas stadium in 2028. Proposed neutral-site games in Dyersville and Mexico City remain under consideration.
MLB said Tuesday the other 28 teams open the following day, with Kansas City at Atlanta, Minnesota at Baltimore, Washington at the Chicago Cubs, Boston at Cincinnati, the Los Angeles Angels at Houston, Arizona at the Los Angeles Dodgers, Colorado at Miami. the Chicago White Sox at Milwaukee, Pittsburgh at the New York Mets, Texas at Philadelphia, Tampa Bay at St. Louis, Detroit at San Diego, Cleveland at Seattle and the Athletics at Toronto.
