Forget the World Cup, USMNT doesn't look ready for the Gold Cup
Briefly

In a disappointing performance, the U.S. Men's National Team (USMNT) lost 4-0 to Switzerland, drawing boos from home fans. Head coach Mauricio Pochettino made nine changes from the previous match to evaluate younger players, but it backfired spectacularly. The first half was dominated by Switzerland, who scored four goals with ease. Although substitutions were made at half-time, they could not alleviate the damage done. Pochettino took full responsibility for the loss, acknowledging that his intention to provide playing time to all was misguided given the inexperience of the roster.
"The first half, all the critics should be, or could be for me because I think that was my decision. But at the same time, it was the good intention to provide all the players the possibility to play and try to compete for a place the World Cup."
"Utilizing a roster bereft of over a dozen experienced players, USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino is operating with a green roster... The move proved fatal."
