Serena Dressel began work as executive director of the Lincoln City Cultural Center on Oct. 13 and will be welcomed with a community open house and reception Nov. 1 that will include the dedication of the Lincoln City Cosmography. The previous director, Niki Price, led a $3.5 million Plaza Restoration Project during a 14-year tenure. Dressel grew up in Lincoln City where her parents owned the Bay House restaurant and where intergenerational community connections shaped her values. Dressel pursued environmental studies and frames her cultural center work as continuing a commitment to connect people to place and one another.
