Prosecutors allege that between at least 2009 and 2019 Rubin ran a network recruiting women, including former Playboy models, to engage in sex in exchange for money, often using force, fraud and coercion. Rubin is accused of using nondisclosure agreements to silence victims and of maintaining a Central Park penthouse outfitted with restraints and shock devices. Rubin pleaded not guilty and was detained without bail; Powers was arrested in Texas.
