Florida State coach Mike Norvell reinforced his belief that the Seminoles will win a championship in the very near future despite a 4-5 record and mounting outside criticism. Florida State fell to 4-5 after a 24-10 loss to Clemson and is 2-12 in ACC play dating to 2024. The program went 2-10 last season after winning the ACC championship in 2023. Athletic director Michael Alford announced a comprehensive review of the football program to occur after the season. Norvell acknowledged recent results were not good enough but pledged to pour everything into the team with championship expectations.
