At 9:47 a.m., Mansfield police and fire departments responded to 108 Oakland St. after a vehicle struck two pedestrians on the sidewalk. A white 2012 Honda Accord drove onto the sidewalk, striking a man and a woman. Fire department personnel determined the man suffered a head injury and arranged air transport by Boston MedFlight to Rhode Island Hospital. The woman was transported by ambulance to Boston Medical Center - South. EMS evaluated the driver on scene and found no need for further medical treatment. Mansfield police are investigating the cause of the crash.

A preliminary investigation showed that a driver in a white 2012 Honda Accord drove up onto the sidewalk, striking them."
