The 2025 college football season began with a few teams in action, including a Dublin matchup between ranked programs. Missouri opens Aug. 28 at home against Central Arkansas. Coach Eli Drinkwitz plans to play both quarterbacks in the opener to decide the starter; Beau Pribula will start and play the first half while Sam Horn will take over in the third quarter to audition in the second half. Horn missed all of 2024 recovering from Tommy John surgery, appeared in four collegiate games through 2023, and was a 2025 Dodgers draft pick with a $497,500 signing bonus.
