Demond Williams Jr. passed for 402 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 136 yards and two touchdowns, setting career highs and a school total offense record of 538 yards. Williams became the 16th FBS player to throw for at least 400 yards and rush for at least 100 yards in a game, and the first since 2023. Washington defeated Rutgers 38-19, improving to 5-1 and 2-1 in conference play. Rutgers quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis threw for a career-high 386 yards and two touchdowns. Rutgers led early but Washington took control in the second half.
