A DEA supervisor allegedly confronted a fellow agent, challenged him to a fight, and jammed a DEA-issued handgun against the agent's midsection before aiming it at his face. The confronted agent wrestled the supervisor to the ground and disarmed him. Los Angeles County prosecutors later charged the supervisor with assault and other alleged crimes occurring between 2022 and 2024, including road rage and domestic violence. Internal DEA records and e-mails documented concerns about the supervisor's behavior and mental health, yet the supervisor received promotions and a high-ranking official reportedly tried to dissuade the agent from reporting the incident to police.
