"According to a death certificate obtained by TMZ, Escobedo died on Tuesday of cardiogenic shock, a rare condition in which the heart is no longer able to pump enough blood to supply the body, depriving vital organs of oxygen. It can be caused by a large or severe heart attack, but not everyone who has a heart attack gets cardiogenic shock, per the Mayo Clinic."

Escobedo, leader of Cleto and the Cletones, was 59 years old."
Cleto Escobedo III died of cardiogenic shock, a condition in which the heart cannot pump enough blood, depriving organs of oxygen. Sepsis, graft-versus-host disease, immunosuppression, chronic kidney disease and pneumonia were recorded as contributing conditions. Escobedo was 59 and led Cleto and the Cletones. He and Jimmy Kimmel were lifelong friends who met in Las Vegas when Kimmel was nine. Kimmel announced the death on Instagram, delivered an emotional monologue on his show, and canceled subsequent episodes.
