Merlin Entertainments is investing $90 million across its California and Florida Legoland parks, with Carlsbad receiving a full new land called Lego Galaxy opening in early 2026. The space-themed land will feature multiple attractions, food and beverage outlets, retail, and several new rides. Legoland already announced Galacticoaster, a thrill ride being installed in both Carlsbad and the Florida park, while only Carlsbad will receive the complete Lego Galaxy expansion. Galacticoaster is intended to expand the park's "pink knuckle" family-friendly coaster category using new technology and to serve as a child's first roller coaster experience.
