Bus hits cars in Virginia, killing 5 people and injuring 34, state police say
A bus crashed into vehicles slowing for a work zone on southbound Interstate 95 in Stafford County, Virginia, around 2:35 a.m. Five people died, all in vehicles struck by the bus, and 44 people were taken to hospitals. Three patients were reported in critical condition. Police said traffic was slowing for an upcoming work zone and the bus failed to slow, striking six vehicles. Approximately 34 passengers were on board the bus. Four fatalities were in one car that caught fire, including victims from Greenfield, Massachusetts, and one additional fatality was a 25-year-old woman from Worcester, Massachusetts. The bus driver was identified as Jing S. Dong of Staten Island, New York, and charges were pending.
"The crash happened at about 2:35 a.m. on southbound I-95 in Stafford County, near Quantico, Virginia. All five of the people who died were in vehicles hit by the bus, and 44 people were taken to hospitals, including three in critical condition, police said."

"I've got to say, this is one of the most tragic things I've ever seen. Absolutely tragic.""

State police said the victims were a 45-year-old male, a 44-year-old female, a 13-year-old female, and a 7-year-old male, all from Greenfield, Massachusetts. The fifth victim, a 25-year-old female from Worcester, Massachusetts, was in an SUV that was struck by the bus."
