A bus carrying 25 Aliquippa Junior High students and three adults was en route to a game in Gibsonia when it crashed in Economy Borough, about 20 miles north of Pittsburgh. Twenty-one of the 28 people on board were taken to hospitals. Police Chief Michael O'Brien said he did not have information on medical status. He said he understood the bus turned on its side during the crash but came back upright as students evacuated. O'Brien described the location as a 'bad bend' and said investigators are determining what happened. A team Facebook page said each player was being evaluated and asked for "a thought or prayer for each player or coach that was traveling this morning."
"It's on a bad bend," O'Brien said.
