Braves activate Luke Williams, add Rolddy Munoz to expanded roster
Briefly

The Braves activated Luke Williams from the 10-day IL and recalled right-handed Rolldy Muñoz as active rosters expanded to 28 players. Muñoz pitched in Double-A and Triple-A, recording 51 strikeouts in 55 innings across 37 games with a .206 batting average against and three starts. Williams has been used as an infielder, pinch-runner and defensive replacement with a .329 OPS and six major-league pitching appearances. On the mound Williams struck out four in six innings, allowed two earned runs and had a 1.167 WHIP. Hayden Harris (73 strikeouts in 48 minor-league innings, 0.56 ERA in 39 games) was not added to the active roster.
The Atlanta Braves announced that the team has activated infielder/pitcher Luke Williams from the 10-day IL and recalled right-handed pitcher Rolldy Muñoz to fill-out the roster. Muñoz, whose twin bother Roddery has also pitched in the big leagues and was a Braves minor leaguer, has pitched in Double-A and Triple-A this season. He's struck out 51 in 55 innings in 37 total games with a .206 batting average against. Three of his appearances did start games this season.
Williams, the utility player who has pitched in six games for Atlanta, returns to the active roster after a short trip on the IL. He has an almost unfathomable .329 OPS has primarily an infielder but has been deployed mostly as a pinch-runner or defensive replacement. However, he's been quite affective on the mound, striking out four in six innings, allowing only two earned runs with a 1.167 WHIP. If not for his IL stint, he likley could has seen action at least once last week in mop-up duty. The two roster moves aren't overly interesting, but it is notable that Hayden Harris, the 26-year-old relief pitcher who has struck out 73 batters in 48 innings with a 0.56 ERA in 39 games in the minors this season, was not added to the team's roster.
