""Bam will continue to nurture and support the arts through the annual Bellevue Arts Fair, one of the longest-running and largest events in Washington state,""
""Additionally, we are dedicated to establishing an emerging-artist programme, a tradition from Bam's early days. Finally, Bam is actively seeking a new physical location to house its extensive art library, display a select collection of visual art and host events that will continue to support art and culture in Bellevue, with more updates to follow.""
Bellevue Arts Museum closed to the public in September 2024 and entered receivership after years of financial problems. The museum agreed to sell its Steven Holl–designed building to KidsQuest Children's Museum for $5 million. The proceeds will allow the museum to pay off creditors, establish a new board, and refocus operations on the annual Bellevue Arts Fair and an emerging-artist programme. Bam plans to seek a new, smaller physical location to house its art library, display a select collection, and host events. KidsQuest expects to expand its annual audience significantly by moving into the Holl building.
