BART commute between Concord, Orinda interrupted with power issue
"A problem that happened often in 2025 reappeared Wednesday, when an equipment problem on the tracks forced BART to shut down a stretch of on one of its travel lines. The issue, which affected power on the electric third rail, closed BART's Yellow line between the Concord and Orinda stations in both directions. The Yellow Line runs from Antioch to the San Francisco International Airport. BART announced the problem about 5:10 a.m. The agency did not have an estimate for when the line would be open."
"BART spokesperson Anna Duckworth said BART was working with buses from the County Connection in Contra Costa County to provide bus service between the affected stations. Those busses were taking passengers to the Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek and Lafayette stations, the three that were shut down because of the closure. Major delays were expected to continue on the system through the morning."
