World News Tonight averaged 7.84 million total viewers in 2026 and won the nightly news ratings for a ninth consecutive year. WNT led NBC and CBS in total viewers and the 25-54 and 18-49 demos and recorded its largest total-viewer margin over NBC Nightly News in 30 years. NBC Nightly News, with new anchor Tom Llamas, reached 6.20 million viewers after adding 477,000 viewers from Q3 to Q4 and modest year-over-year gains. CBS Evening News averaged 4.05 million viewers and will name Tony Dokoupil as anchor in January. Good Morning America led morning shows with 2.77 million viewers.
