A car fleeing police slams into a bar in Florida, killing 4 and injuring 11
An air patrol unit spotted a silver sedan driving recklessly on a freeway at about 12:40 a.m. after the vehicle was seen street racing in another neighborhood. The Florida Highway Patrol caught up with the vehicle and attempted a PIT maneuver but was unsuccessful. Highway patrol officers disengaged as the vehicle sped toward historic Ybor City, where the driver lost control and struck more than a dozen people outside Bradley's on 7th. Three people died at the scene and a fourth died at a hospital. Eleven people were injured, with two in critical condition. The 22-year-old suspect, Silas Sampson, was booked and faces multiple first-degree felony counts and is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail.
