MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell expressed his financial hardships in court, revealing he has no funds to pay $56,369 in mandated sanctions to Smartmatic due to a defamation lawsuit. Tearfully stating he's in ruins, Lindell mentioned he’s unable to pay the judgment or provide proof of his financial status despite losses in warehouses and thousands of employees. He asked the judge to delay payments while Smartmatic considered holding him in contempt for non-payment. Lindell highlighted his minimal possessions, illustrating his significant financial downfall.
I'm in ruins, Lindell said tearfully during a virtual hearing before U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols, I borrowed everything I can. Nobody will lend me any money anymore.
I can't turn back time but I will tell you, I don't have any money... Lindell described a steep financial downfall, claiming he was forced to let hundreds of employees go.
According to ABC News, Nichols asked Lindell on Wednesday for proof that he was in financial ruin and described Lindell's claims as non-verifiable.
Lindell told Nichols his only possessions were two homes and a truck he was trying to sell for cash.
