Severe disruption to Buses, London Underground and DLR due to strike action
"Strike action on Buses, Tube and DLR next week is expected to have a severe impact on services, with little to no service on most days. The tube strike by RMT members is over a combination of issues relating to pay and conditions and a demand to reduce the working hours each week. The (driverless) Docklands Light Railway is also on strike for a couple of days next week on an unrelated matter. There is also a bus strike affecting some west London services."
"Sunday 7 Sept: Disruption expected across London Underground, with limited services operating. Services that do run will close earlier than normal, with customers advised that all journeys should be complete by 6pm. Monday 8th Sept: Little or no service expected across the London Underground. Any services that do run will start later than usual, with no service before 8am. Tuesday 9th Sept: Little or no service expected across the London Underground. Any services that do run will start later than usual, with no service before 8am."
Multiple strikes will severely disrupt London transport next week across the London Underground, Docklands Light Railway (DLR), and some west London buses. RMT members are striking over pay, conditions, and a demand to reduce weekly working hours. The driverless DLR will strike on separate days for an unrelated issue. TfL predicts limited Underground services with earlier closures on Sunday 7 September and little or no Underground service on 8–11 September with no service before 8am on affected days. The DLR will have no service on 9 and 11 September, and west London buses will face disruption on several days.
