Graham Simpson, a Conservative MSP, has joined Reform UK after describing the decision as 'not easy.' He spoke with Nigel Farage at an event in Livingston, Scotland. He said many people feel let down, ignored, and believe the system and traditional parties do not care about them. He predicted the next Scottish Parliament will look very different and expects Reform to make gains in the upcoming election. He described leaving the party he joined at 15 as an enormous wrench after weeks of soul-searching and said the political class largely fails to serve the people, where failure is accepted and change is slow.
Too many people feel let down and ignored. They feel the system is against them, that the traditional parties don't even care about them.
The election next year here in Scotland is going to see a very different parliament from the one we have now.

Save for some fine individual MSPs across parties, the political class is not serving the people well. Failure is accepted and change takes far too long.
